Mental health is such an important thing that should be spoken about often. It’s even more important for parents to know their mental illnesses do not have to determine whether or not they are good parents.
Balancing both motherhood and a blog can be very demanding at times. Sometimes mom life can be very overwhelming while blogging can bring on new things like the need to be consistent. It is not impossible to manage my mom blog but in order to do it I needed a plan.
Last week I wrote a post about how moms and dads can be an amazing parent with depression. It's all about finding coping skills that work and I offered some pretty good ideas. I also created a parenting with depression printable for you to use as a reminder.
I have searched many times on Google and I could not find hard facts from "the experts" to prove my theory. But then I got to thinking that it's really nutty to seek "the experts" facts (opinions) when I am the greatest expert of them all. I am "The Mom".
Now I am in no way saying that any parent that struggles with depression is a terrible parent. I am just offering my opinion on helpful tips that have worked for me. You can be an amazing parent with depression and always have your child understand you in a different light.
